1st prize for Ramyasree in Bhagavad Gita Recitation Competition

My daughter N. Ramyasre  (Std -III,  Chettinad Vidyashram, R. A. Puram, Chennai), has won 1st Prize in  Bhagavad Gita Recitation which was held at Egmore Samskrt School on 29th January 2012.
My son N. Aravind Krishna (Std -I, Mrs YGP School Calibre Academy), has won 1st Consolation Prize in Inter School Bhagavad Gita Recitation which was held at Egmore Samskrt School on 29th January 2012.

The Egmore Samskrt School has been organizing this recitation contest for the last 54 years and this is the 55th year of the competition . Over 2500 students and non-students participate in this competition every year. Students interested in participating are informed of the chapters and shlokas they need to memorize well ahead of time and are expected to come very well prepared as there is intense competition. Students from Chennai, Bangalore, Pune and other cities participate in this recitation competition.
