Alumni Day: They came to give…

They say that old is gold, and our alumni proved to be just that as they assembled in large numbers for the annual “Alumni Day” function. Nearly 500 people attended, and there was a sense of nostalgia in the air as old friends reunited and reminisced about their fun-filled days at Chettinad Vidyahsram. Our beloved Meena Aunty told them that C.V would always be their home, and wished them the best of luck in their future endeavours. Our Principal, beaming a proud smile, recounted the achievements of senior alumni and urged our junior alumni to emulate them. The highly anticipated cultural part of the day began with two of the best classical dancers of C.V, Manasa and Nakshatra, reunited on stage and wowed the crowd with their graceful performance.’ Pandemonium’,the live wire dancers with Pranav , our alumnus in it got the crowd on their feet as they showed off their best moves. Briju Kailash, Kavya and Vinithra gave a stunning vocal performance that was well-appreciated.

Our school also organized a blood donation camp on the same day. This idea proved to be a very great as many of our alumni came forward to donate blood. It was a huge success, and our alumni were more than happy to help the school that gave them so much. Several posters were put up to remind people that many lives could be saved by donating blood. Many of our students also brought their relatives and friends to donate for the noble cause. The memorable day allowed our alumni to relive their childhood days just one more time before returning to their regular routines. The next one is just a year away….
