We are happy to inform you that K. R. ROSHNI, studying Std. VII in SBOA School and Junior College, Annanagar, Chennai, is the sole winner from India in the 5th International Arts Olympiad conducted once in 4 years as a prelude to OLYMPIC GAMES in 2016 on the topic ‘My Favourite Sport‘.

As the organizers do not sponsor the event and the award ceremony, she will not be able to attend the function being held in Washington, D.C., in the first week of July this year. Along with this write-up, I am also appending the mail I received from the International Child Art Foundation. Her painting can be seen on their Facebook Page.

“We are pleased to inform you that our judges have selected the artwork of Roshni K.R. as the 5th Arts Olympiad winners from India. We invite Roshni and her parents to participate in the 5th World Children’s Festival—this July 4th weekend at The National Mall in Washington, D.C.

First launched in 1999 as the “Olympics” of children’s imagination and co-creation, the WCF has grown into the world’s premier children’s celebration and is now a permanent quadrennial event in our nation’s capital. The WCF advances a grassroots movement for children’s creative and empathic development sparked some twenty years ago by the International Child Art Foundation as the building block for universal prosperity and peace.

You can apply to host a workshop or activity. Any young musicians and performers you know can apply to showcase their talents on The National Mall.

At the WCF2015, children will celebrate Creativity, Diversity, and Unity as an example to the world. In a setting of global community, the production and exhibition of their amazing works that include electrifying performances by young musicians and dancers as well as the co-creation of “peace murals” by professional artists and child artists, and the exhilarating activities and workshops by eminent educators will collectively create a synesthetic experience—a total work of art on The National Mall and a transformative experience for all.

The ICAF will not charge any registration fee for the WCF2015.  Performance applications require a $100 evaluation fee.  The tickets for the Awards Banquet are $200 per person.  Please let us know your plans.”

The official delegates are selected through the Arts Olympiad, the world’s largest children’s art program. The winners of their Olympiad representing their U.S. states and over 70 other countries convene at the WCF, along with amazing young musicians and performers, representing different genres and world cultures.

NOTE: To publish your child's achievement here, send us an email to with the subject line "Young Achiever" and with the details and limited number of photos.
