Bodhisatva Ganesh Khanderao, a six-year-old child who loves trees, observed the rural people cutting down trees for fuel. He decided that more trees must be grown, which subsequently prompted him to beginpromoting a simple,free-of-cost forestation method in 2013.

He started visitingschools, colleges, bachat gats (women self-help groups), gram (village) panchayats, summer camps, social and religiousplace, NSS and NCC camps etc., andgave a demonstration of Seed-Ball method, taught people how tomake seed balls, and educated them on the use of seed balls.Little Bodhisatvaalso enlightened people that seed is not garbage.

He presented this project in a science exhibition, and subsequently, was selected for theDistrict Level when he was only in theFirst Standard in school. He has, till date, been continuously working hard on this project, having performed in 200 programs so far.

Bodhisatva has beenawarded by the District Collector, Guardian Minister, Central Home Minister, Revenue Minister, and more authorities, and interviewed by national news channels, All India Radio (AIR) Pune and many other news broadcast media.

He ardentlycontinues to inspire people to fight against global warming by increasing the forests. He planted his first sapling in the Maharashtra State Government’s“4 Crore Tree Plantation” program.

Young Bodhisatva’s work is a milestone in social forestation. Thousands of people have already joined theSeedBall Movement in Vidarbha only because of this little master.
