Two Youngsters Add Pride to Tamil Language!

“Thamizh Kondattam – 2019” marked the 7th Annual Day of Thamizh Mozhi Koodam, a professional organization focusing on the development of Tamil Language and Culture, for all  generations across the globe.

Apsara, a classical dancer, and Harini, a classical vocalist, both Std. VIII students of National Public School, Gopalapuram, Chennai, participated in the Folk Song round based on patriotism and language heritage performed in village-style Tamil Language, and each won the 3rd Prize for their respective performances.

The competitions were conducted on themes based on “Tamil Language, Culture and Tradition”, for all ages from primary school to college, at  Kesari Higher Secondary School, Mylapore from10 am to 7 pm on 27 January 2019, Sunday.

An excellent classical dance performance on brass pots and plates accompanied with lamps, was the highlight event of the day. Prize winners were each honoured with a medal, book, certificate, and compliments from the Chief Guest of the day, Mr. Parthasarathy, a 102-year-young person who cheered the children with his spirit and enthusiasm!
