“Learning is gathering knowledge. Wisdom is applying that knowledge.”

With this motto in mind, the ignited minds of Kapol Vidyanidhi International School (KVIS), Kandivali, Mumbai, organised Kaleidoscope: “The Annual School Exhibition”, for Grade 4 to 8 on 10TH & 11TH December 2019.

The theme of the exhibition was “The Saga of Development: Connecting Past, Present, Future”.

The objective was not only to inculcate scientific attitude and research-mindedness but also creating teaching aids. It involves student participation in activities so as to understand the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of the task.

School Principal Dr. Reshma Hegde in her address, said:

“We believe that as young children learn better through exploration and hands-on experience, the galleria at KVIS focusses on nurturing young minds to scale new heights through their innovative and imaginative skill.”

Chairperson Mrs. Alka Vora, our Principal Dr. Reshma Hegde, Dr. Vivek Patel (Neurosurgeon), Dr. Himashri Patel, Dr. Kamlesh Nayak, and all the lovely and hardworking teachers—the master mind behind in executing this wonderful event—lauded enthusiastic students who executed the plans perfectly, having worked hard round-the-clock in the days leading to the big day. Last but not the least, fervent parents had rendered their full support to make this event possible.

There were various projects put up as part of Kaleidoscope which were part of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, English and Hindi.

Topics covered in Exhibition included Waste Management, Outer Space, Ocean Blues, Relationship between Water Resources and Human Society, Natural Disasters, Physical Fitness, etc.

Students had made still models, working models, charts and posters to present their topics. The judges appreciated the students, and asked them about the scientific concepts and logic behind the models.

A new outlook was given in presenting the subjects in a novel way like one-act play, fashion show, mock parliament, and street plays, in Languages Hindi as well as English. Different slots were given for shows. All the shows were a superhit!

Parents and visitors were present in large numbers—i.e. more than 5000 people!—to view the exhibition.

The visitors were mesmerised to see the models and displays. They expressed their appreciations, enthusiastically participated in various programmes, and also encouraged the students in giving their presentation.

Overall, the Kaleidoscope Exhibition was a huge success.
