This book is an inspirational one, for a person like me who aims to carve a niche for myself in the business world. Thought provoking, to be precise. It engages the reader right from the first page and makes you think seriously of how you can start something of your own irrespective of whether you have the funds, known how to reach there or not.
What is most important is the desire to make it. And the grit to give the best in yourself to make your dream come true.
It even gives you the pros and cons, to analyze your individual capabilities. It gives you the litmus test of how you can take the precious first step to achieve your dream.
It gives you the courage to aim to live your dream and have your way in this world where most working people like me come to believe that an MBA (or any post Graduation degree) is the only way to achieve phenomenal success.
I have always played with the idea that whatever I do in a job, it will not give me the 100% proportionate return. As there will be other factors influencing my growth in a job namely the organizations growth and plan for me, management policies and my equation with my peers and management. The secure feeling of a month end pay-cheque.
But when it comes to my own enterprise the returns and losses would be 100% mine.
I have sat on the fence to long. This book has helped my make my decision to take the plunge to live my dream. And feel the satisfaction I have always dreamt to live.
This book showcases incredible people from either humble beginnings or even financially sound backgrounds who have had the vision, determination, desire and self motivation to live a dream for both for themselves and others around them.
Personifying the Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish thought of the great Man – Steve Jobs.

Hi Shirley,
Thanks for this review! I bought this book about two weeks back and your review is the right prompt for me to start reading it. I am in the same boat as yours and getting ready to take the plunge! So, my best wishes for you come from the heart .
Somehow most of the middle class Indian women have got conditioned to being dependent…on husband or a job. It’s high time we come out of our comfort zones and discover our true value.
Maybe I’ll write another review post reading the book.
