1. What is Yokibu?
Yokibu is an online community for parents. Through Yokibu, you can get instantly connected to the parents of your child's classmates and exchange mutually beneficial information.
1.1 Yokibu Participating Schools
Yokibu also helps schools to connect with parents. Those schools that sign up with Yokibu are called Yokibu Participating Schools. Schools can send circulars, student records and other information to parents through Yokibu. When a school sends a message, parents are always notified by email. For emergency messages, schools may choose to send SMS alerts too.
In addition to the School Messages, on Yokibu, you can also access information on events such as Seminars, Workshops, Field Trips, Camps, Courses, and Books, Videos, and News items relevant to your child's age group.
2. How can I become a member of Yokibu?
If you are a parent of a child studying in school (Chennai only for now), and you have friend who is already a member of Yokibu, then your friend can send you an invitation to join Yokibu.
Also, if your child's school is a Yokibu Participating School, then you will automatically be registered on Yokibu by your child's school. You will be notified through email and SMS when the school registers you on Yokibu.

When your child's school sends a message to you, you will be notified through email. For emergency messages, the school may choose to send SMS alerts too.

5. Where will I find information regarding my child on Yokibu?
Your child's class Home Page is the page you can read all information relevant to your child. This includes messages from your child's school and also other information like Events relevant to your child.

On the Class Home page, you should see the option: Class Parents. Click on it to see the parents of your child's class mates.

On the Class Home page you should see the option Ask or Discuss. Click on it to view all the discussions.

Click on the Ask or Discuss link on the page to post a new topic. Please note that this will send an email to all parents in the class forum with the subject of the topic.

Click on the topic subject to open the topic from the topic list. This will open up the topic tree.

In order to keep you informed of the events such as seminars, field trips, camps, workshops, and other events that are relevant to your child's age group and may help improve your child's skill and also help you in parenting, we publish detailed information on those events on Yokibu.
Click on the Events option displayed on the top. This will open up the page with the list of events relevant to your children.
10. How do I know when you publish new events on Yokibu?
We send regular emails when we publish information on latest events. However, if you do not wish to receive these emails, you can always send us an email to email@example.com with the subject "Unsubscribe" and the reason for removing your email address from our list, in the body of the email.

You will be sent an activation email to your new email address and you will have to click the link in the activation email. Until then you will be able to login with your old email address and the password.
Also, Please note that this will only change your profile on Yokibu but your schools records will not updated. All school messages will still go to your old email address. To update your school records, you will have to call your child's school and ensure they update the school records on Yokibu.
